Here is the information on the subject project from the Engineering Firm, Langley & McDonald. If you own a slip facing the side channel (Slips 1-21), you should have already received an email with this information. If not , or you have an interest in the project, read further:
“The dredging Joint Permit Application (JPA) has been submitted to the regulatory agencies. Attached are the permit drawings for the entire project. Hopefully you can find your specific access basin, but if not, please let me know.
To reiterate from prior communications, if your access basin was approved in the 1st dredge cycle permit 7 years ago, then we automatically included it for this 2nd dredge cycle. Please remember that being included in the permit does not obligate you to dredge, but it preserves your options to dredge if you so desire, and it costs you nothing to be in the permit.
Since there are wetland impacts, the VB Wetland Board is required to conduct a public hearing. Attached is a Disclosure Statement that each of you needs to complete. If you were in the 1st permit 7 years ago, you completed a similar statement. However, that statement is no longer valid and the city has a new format. If you are the property owner, then you can ignore the last 4 pages of the document.
This is not optional. Since this JPA will be heard by the Wetlands Board in a public setting, the document is to disclose and avoid any conflicts of interest.
